Captain Donk's Boat Safety Club is a free video series designed for children under 12 who spend time on boats. Created by Save Your Ass at Sea, these short animated videos teach essential boating safety skills in a fun, non-scary way.

Each video covers a critical safety topic:

Video 1 — Life Jackets: Why life jackets matter, how to put one on correctly, and the "always wear it" rule.
Video 2 — VHF Radio & Channel 16: How to find the radio, switch to Channel 16, and make a MAYDAY call if a parent is incapacitated.
Video 3 — Emergency Response: Three simple steps — stay calm, put on your life jacket, stay on the boat, and call for help.

These videos are meant to be watched with your child. After watching, practice the skills together: have your child try on their life jacket, show them where the VHF radio is on your boat, and practice a mock MAYDAY call.
